Lone Star, a leading private equity firm, acquired Charles Street Buildings Group, a family owned property group based in Leicester comprising 40 assets across various sub-sectors including industrial and logistics, retail parks, supermarkets and commercial offices. The 6.3m sq ft portfolio of mixed assets contains a significant industrial weighting, with a major concentration of value in assets the company owns in the East Midlands and London.
The acquisition represents the first investment by Lone Star Real Estate Fund VII, which closed with $2.7bn of committed equity in September 2024.
BDO delivered vendor financial and tax due diligence and a separate BDO team supported the vendors with completion mechanism advisory and SPA review services.
