Equity is the leading UK outbound school tour operator focused on ski trips and educational & sports tours

Equity was part of a wider group, acquired by its sponsor, Bridgepoint Development Capital (‘Bridgepoint’) in 2017. The Equity business was always non-core to the sponsor, however, was included in the initial wider group transaction.

Post integration the sponsor initiated a separation exercise of Equity from the group enabling Bridgepoint to exit this non-core element of the business.

BDO’s Special Situations M&A Team was introduced to run a focussed M&A process.

BDO delivered a share sale to a turnaround specialist which secured the safe transport of all of the school children located around the Globe.
