Vicky Smith

Vicky is a Partner based in our Baker Street office where she leads on Audit Stream Risk matters within the Audit Quality Directorate.

She started her career in audit specialising in owner managed business audits for both small and large firms before moving to work within Professional Standards Department at a regulator. Vicky spent 16 ½ years with the regulator and held a number of different roles in both the conduct and inspection departments gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience around regulatory and disciplinary matters.

Vicky joined BDO in 2020 initially within our in-flight review team and then joined our central QRM team before moving in January 2024 to her current role within the Audit Quality Directorate. Vicky has regularly presented to the audit stream on regulatory and risk matters.
