Technology Risk Assurance (TRA) , supporting our Audit Practice as a Technology Specialist Lead (TSL).

I have a national role and southern regional focus, delivering high quality IT controls audits across our firm-wide portfolio, optimising audit effectiveness and efficiency, supporting the vision of TRA being ‘at the heart’ of audit.

With 22 years of technology risk and financial audit experience, including 19 years at PwC, I have led and delivered external audit, third party assurance and data analytics engagements.

I work with a broad spectrum of audit entities from owner managed businesses, large AQR corporates and US SOx referrals. I use my knowledge of business and IT risks and controls, to plan effective responses to address the risks arising from how organisations use technology to run their business and control frameworks.

I lead the TRA sector focus around Charities, Higher Education and NHS audits. I created BDO’s TRA Quality team and developed a brand identity synonymous with thought leadership and innovative ways of sharing quality messages throughout TRA.
