Mike Philp

I am an Audit Partner with a breadth of experience ranging from owner managed businesses and private equity backed companies to FTSE listed groups. I have strong technical expertise, including accounting under UK GAAP, IFRS and US and a solid track record in delivering robust and high-quality audits to a wide range of organisations.

A large part of my career has been spent auditing businesses on the journey from private equity ownership to listed, drawing on my experience in debt and equity transactions, UK IPOs, M&A and due diligence.

Private equity backed companies benefit from my experience of the typical lifecycle journey with feedback on progress against value creation plans and preparing for exit readiness. 

I work with businesses across multiple sectors spanning housebuilding and construction, automotive, retail, life sciences, technology, business services and financial services. 

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family and enjoy sport, which is increasingly an activity from the sidelines rather than participation. I’m a Doncaster Rovers fan which is probably an indicator of my home town.
