Marc Stephens

Marc is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Partner in the Forensics and Valuation Services (FAVS) department at BDO UK, with more than 25 years experience in the forensic accounting arena.

In recent years, his case experience has been concentrated on contentious regulatory matters in the financial services sector and the potential subsequent follow on litigation or claims. This work often requires the consideration and analysis of large data sets using data analytical tools and methodologies; an area of increasing importance and focus for Marc.

Marc also has considerable experience in commercial disputes heard in the High Court or International Arbitration fora and resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution processes.

Marc has been on secondment at a UK bank, leading an internal bank team monitoring the various conduct related workstreams (eg. PPI, interest rate hedging products), reporting to the Board and external stakeholders
