Leigh Treacy

Leigh is a member of BDO UK’s Leadership Team, heading up the firm's Consulting, Risk and Outsourcing practice. This includes Risk Advisory Services, Financial Services Advisory, Business Services & Outsourcing, International Institutions and Donor Assurance, and Consulting (which includes Digital and ESG services).

Leigh joined the firm in 2014 and has over 25 years' experience in providing assurance and advisory services to banks and other financial institutions where she handled a range of clients from start-up to regulated and listed firms. Her role prior to her appointment to the Leadership Team was as Head of Financial Services Advisory, which she retains.

Leigh is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the ICAEW's Financial Services Faculty, where she sits on the Faculty Board and chairs the Faculty's Risk and Regulation Committee.

Leigh is an experienced partner and has led advisory and assurance reviews covering risk, governance and regulatory topics as well as thematic and skilled person reviews for a number of high-profile banks and financial institutions in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She has acted as an audit and accounting expert in relation to several financial services litigation matters and investigations. Leigh's focus is to ensure that clients receive consistently exceptional, high-quality service, contributing to their success.
