Executive summary

Kevin has over 20 years experience delivering a wide range of forensic accounting engagements, including both acting as expert witness and undertaking financial and regulatory investigations both in the UK and overseas. This has included:

  • quantifying damages in breach of contract, tortious, intellectual property infringement and complex loss of profits claims
  • advising on and determining sale and purchase agreement and other contract interpretation disputes
  • valuing minority shareholder and joint venture disputes
  • contract compliance reviews, particularly relating to oil and gas projects, as well as royalties and licensing in general
  • business valuation disputes
  • accounts interpretation and financial reporting disputes
  • financial, regulatory and compliance investigations
  • regulatory compliance monitoring including competition authority monitoring trustee appointments. 

Kevin's experience covers a wide range of industries and sectors including oil and gas, natural resources, life sciences, transport and financial services. 

In relation to damages claims Kevin has advised in High Court and overseas disputes, as well as international commercial and investor-state arbitrations. 

Kevin has undertaken investigations and other work on behalf of the FSA/FCA, FRC, EC and CMA as well as other overseas regulators, and is responsible for BDO's competition law monitoring trustee services.
