Jyrki Kolsi

Jyrki is a Director in the Economic Consulting practice at BDO.

He has over 20 years of experience working across dispute and advisory assignments. He specialises in using statistical and other advanced modelling techniques to quantify causal effects and counterfactual scenarios in context of disputes, as well as to generate actionable insights to support commercial and regulatory decision making.

Jyrki leads the commercial and regulatory advisory aspects of our work, utilising econometric techniques to support pricing improvements, identify and utilise drivers of value and risk, enhance commercial performance improvement, and help his clients in engaging with their economic regulators and market watchdogs.

Jyrki’s experience in competition economics matters includes producing evidence on cartel damages, fairness of charges, impact of mergers, market studies and firm conduct reviews. In commercial litigation, he has produced econometric evidence on the impact of reputational effects, infrastructure faults, and regulatory decisions on value and loss of profits.
