Brian O'Connell

I am a Partner within our award winning Financial Model Assurance Services (‘FMAS’) team with over 20 years experience in banking and finance. I work on both model build and model audit engagements across a wide range of sectors for new construction projects, acquisitions, and refinancings, both in the UK and internationally. Project are usually debt funded, with debt typically secured on either a single asset or a portfolio basis.

In recent years I have worked on renewable energy generation and storage projects, energy from waste, regulated utilities, oil and gas, digital infrastructure, telecoms, and housing & accommodation projects. I have also worked on dozens of transport and social infrastructure projects.

Having previously worked in project finance banking as well as a renewable energy think-tank, I have wider experience which includes assessing due diligence reports, arranging debt, financial advisory roles and energy policy & finance research and analysis. All of this experience has required varying degrees of financial modelling which is a field that I have always enjoyed working on.
