Bernd is a Partner in the Technical Standards Group (TSG) and expert in supporting engagement teams, listed entities and other audited entities in the application of IFRS and UK GAAP.

His experience includes over 20 years at Big Four audit firms, delivering technical accounting oversight for diverse entities across Financial Services, Energy & Natural Resources, Consumer Retail & Leisure industries. Prior to joining BDO, Bernd was an Associate Partner at EY looking after FTSE350 companies.

He is dedicated to high-quality corporate reporting for the benefit of entities and their stakeholders, and committed to developing the technical accounting expertise of colleagues and the firm. Specific strengths include navigating complex accounting issues in a rigorous but pragmatic way, training in virtual and traditional environments, and writing technical papers and publications.
