Andrew Souyave

I am the national lead for Digital Transformation, supporting clients as they prepare for and implement large scale, business led IT changes into their organisations. I am also an avid climber and amateur comedian.

I tend to work with clients who recognise the significant internal skills gaps when approaching major IT transformations. This might be around strategy advisory, system selection, programme management, or specific skills gaps in data, security, controls and business process optimisation. Our team can provide a coherent solution to fill these gaps, either through advisory or assurance roles.

Our Digital Transformation business in the UK really began in earnest when I joined the firm in November 2021. We are a fast growing proposition and are steadily hiring in new skills to bolster the team. We also work closely with the global firm to tap into talent as and when required to deliver for our clients.

The BDO work I can be most proud of is the way our team has transformed a large UK health practitioner based in the North. Despite being a £650m business, they were immature around their IT setup and we have not just supported their major transformation programme that delivers a whole new back office and reporting setup but also brought them forward as a more mature business in the process. I am also proud to work with one of the largest retailers in the region on a major SAP assurance programme that is helping with their core goal of protecting value through that change.

Within Digital, I also take responsibility for the North region, encompassing our teams in Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow. We have grown from zero headcount to what will soon become 20 in my 2.5 years with the firm. This ability to tap into talent across the UK and site our propositions near our clients has been invaluable to growth at key FTSE 250 accounts in the region.

In my spare time, I climb indoors 3 times a week with my 9 and 11 year old daughters. With their training and my age, we are currently a perfect skills match, but I can see them surging ahead soon! I also run an active social media account for an anonymous comic persona that has a growing global following. I find that these two hobbies help me to keep fit, decompress and spend valuable time with the family.
