Charity Retail Trends and Sales Tracker
Charity Retail Trends and Sales Tracker
Charity retailers share many of the UK's high streets with their commercial retail counterparts. Competing to attract consumers and grow their share of spending, they face many of the same headwinds; the continued growth of online shopping and fragile consumer confidence.
However, charity retailers also have their own unique advantages and challenges. They are able to compete on price and they are uniquely placed to respond to changing attitudes towards environmental sustainability and fast fashion. At the same time, they need to be mindful of their charitable objectives, while harnessing change and adopting a commercial mind-set in order to remain competitive.
Often a fundamental part of a local community, charity shops are a crucial touchpoint for a charity's brand. As charity relies on volunteers and donors for its income, the shops are key to its ability to attract and engage with those all-important people.
Charity retailers will also need to deal with the complexities of the Gift Aid system, which provides a valuable source of income, and important engagement with customers, for many but which requires careful management to operate successfully. Our Gift Aid training course is designed to assist you with running the Gift Aid process and help the charity to ensure that it is claiming the right amount of Gift Aid to support its work.
It has therefore never been more important to keep up to date with what is going on and benchmark your performance in order to thrive. Our Charity Retail Sales Tracker and our Charity Retail podcast series will help you do just that.

The Charity Retail Sales Tracker
As a charity retailer it is important for you to understand how your charity shops are performing compared to your competitors on the high street - both charity and commercial.

Published on both a weekly and monthly basis, the Charity Retail Sales Tracker breaks the data into charity size and includes a comparison to the commercial high street.
In exchange for submitting data through our simple form, charity retailers have access to their own report which allows them to clearly and easily track their own position and individual performance.
