BDO Digital are developing a custom Compliance Manager based solution to enable the Queensland Government Cyber Security unit to perform dedicated control-level testing and reporting using the Microsoft E5 platform.

KeyInitiatives

This will initially focus on the ‘Essential 8’ standard, then extend into ISO27001 and further into the Federal Government Information Security Manual (ISM).

Results

The product will reduce the need to perform Whole of Government IT Auditing for Essential 8 and ISO27001. It will provide a platform for near real time control data allowing Queensland Government to perform near real time risk calculations due to threats. The approach will be expanded to other Australian States and Local Government entities, expanding the value proposition for E5 licensing nationally and across sectors not currently targeted by Microsoft.
