BDO’s Mergers & Acquisitions team advised the private equity shareholders of LAUK Lighting Ltd (‘LAUK’) on its sale to H&K Distribution Ltd (‘H&K International’).
LAUK provides end-to-end lighting services to retail customers across the UK, including specialist energy-efficient lighting design, supply and retail fit-out logistics services from its premises in Staffordshire. LAUK’s new parent company, H&K International, supplies kitchen equipment to restaurants. Founded in Canada and headquartered in Dublin, H&K International has major customers based in North America, Latin America and Europe. H&K is well-known for completing significant commercial projects, including the world's largest McDonalds at the London Olympics.
Following a management buyout in 2002, Next Wave Partners acquired LAUK. Next Wave Partners exited LAUK in full as part of the deal.
