BDO undertook vendor due diligence on behalf of Forward Internet Group (“FIG”) in relation to the MBO of uSwitch, the UK-based price comparison and switching service which allows consumers to compare prices for a range of energy, communications and financial services. As a result of the transaction, LDC has acquired a significant stake in the business with FIG retaining a substantial minority holding.
uSwitch was acquired by FIG in 2009 and has significantly accelerated its growth under FIG’s ownership both organically and through acquisition with the purchase of Top10.com, a broadband and mobile phone comparison business, in 2010. BDO had previously provided due diligence services to FIG on both of these acquisitions.
