In July 2020, Mitie Group plc completed a rights issue raising gross proceeds of £201m to strengthen its balance sheet against COVID-19.
In December 2020, Mitie completed the class one acquisition of Interservefm (Holdings) Limited.
BDO acted as reporting accountants on both transactions.
Mitie aims to be the largest facilities management company in the UK with revenues of £2.2bn and employing 47,500 people prior to the acquisition of Interserve. Following the transaction Mitie will have £3.5bn revenue and 77,500 people.
