Equity fundraise by Supermarket Income REIT plc

Supermarket Income REIT invests in supermarket real estate with long, RPI-linked leases with the aim of providing investors with a long-term and secure income stream.

In October 2021, it issued a prospectus to establish a new placing programme and raised £200 million in an upscaled and significantly oversubscribed secondary fundraise.  The proceeds will be invested in a pipeline of further supermarket assets.  This is the 7th placing by the company since its IPO in 2017 and takes its market cap to over £1.1bn.
