Acquisition of Zetar Plc by Zertus UK

German foods group Zertus has agreed to buy UK-based chocolate maker Zetar Plc in a 343m deal that gives the group its first inroad into the British confectionary market. Zetar makes chocolates and snacks under licence for media brands like Disney and Hello Kitty and food and drinks brands such as Baileys, Marmite and Branston. BDO carried out financial and tax due diligence and tax structuring work.
