Denholm Industrial Services, part of the Denholm Group, has acquired a 60% stake in Universal Coatings & Services to become co-owners with existing owners Wilton Universal Group.
Universal Coatings & Services provides surface preparation and protective coatings services to customers across a range of sectors such as engineering, petrochemical, subsea, offshore renewables and nuclear power generation. Based at Port Clarence, Middlesborough, Universal Coatings & Services operates one of the UK’s largest coating facilities as well as providing on-site surface and coatings services, and currently employs 61 people. The new co-ownership structure formalises an ongoing supply chain relationship between Denholm Industrial Services and Universal Coatings & Services.
