Mr Sadler purchased 96.2 per cent of the shares in Blackpool Football Club Limited, including 100 per cent of Blackpool Football Club Hotel Limited, and related assets including the football stadium, all stadium related property, and the training ground.
Whilst based in Hong Kong, Mr Sadler was born and raised in Blackpool and is a lifelong fan of the Club. He has held senior roles in finance setting up an asset management business, Segantii Capital Management, in Hong Kong in 2007, where he remains Chief Investment Officer.
BDO supported Mr Sadler with financial and tax due diligence and taxation structuring advice in relation to the deal.
